AI receptionist for Bunbury tradies

It answers on Bunbury time when you can’t, tells callers it’s your assistant and books the routine work. Emergencies get texted to you. Set up by phone from the other side of the country.

The short answer

When a Bunbury tradie can’t get to the phone, our AI receptionist answers it, any hour, WA public holidays included. It says it’s your assistant, takes the job details, books routine work into the gaps in your week and texts you emergencies straight away, then rings you.

A$299 a month covers a sole trader, including 100 minutes and 150 texts, and setup is A$299, once. We’re over in Wagga Wagga, NSW, and do the setup with you on the phone.

Bunbury had 84,332 people at 30 June 2025 (ABS estimate). The ABS counted 572 construction businesses in the City of Bunbury council area, and 1,392 once you add the Capel, Dardanup and Harvey shires.

Bunbury against the east coast

WA leaves its clocks alone. New South Wales doesn’t. Here’s what that does to a 7am start in Bunbury.

SydneyGap
7am in Bunbury, early October to early April, while NSW is on daylight saving10am3 hours
7am in Bunbury, early April to early October9am2 hours

WA’s Standard Time Act 2005 puts the whole state 8 hours ahead of UTC, and the Australian Government Style Manual puts Sydney at UTC+10:00 in winter. NSW’s daylight saving runs from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April (NSW Government and the Fair Work Ombudsman); this season that’s 4 October 2026 to 4 April 2027. All read October 2026.

Your assistant keeps Bunbury hours

It goes by your time zone and your working hours. A booking text that would land at night waits until 9am in Bunbury, whatever the time in Sydney, and reminders follow your clock too.

We’re the ones on the other clock: Wagga runs on NSW time, three hours ahead of you until April. Ring us on 0468 075 000 and a human answers.

Who Bunbury customers ring when the fault isn’t theirs

Some calls are the network’s job. Text us if you’d like your assistant to point callers to one of these.

Where a Bunbury water pipe changes hands

Aqwest says the owner is responsible for every pipe inside the property up to the valve just before the water meter, and that work on those pipes has to be done by a licensed plumber. The meter, the stop tap and the mains are Aqwest’s.

It also wants a clear space around the meter of at least 300 mm across and 1,200 mm up. A leak on Aqwest’s side won’t show on the meter or the bill, and it asks people to ring it on (08) 9780 9500.

Watering rules Bunbury customers ask about

From Aqwest’s watering page. Worth knowing before you quote a new lawn.

  • Two watering days a week, before 9am or after 6pm
  • No sprinklers from 1 June to 31 August, the winter switch-off, and that includes bore users
  • Bore users skip the roster, but the 9am to 6pm ban still applies to them
  • New lawns and gardens can get an exemption: up to 42 days from planting in spring and summer, 35 in autumn and winter
  • Fines of up to A$500 for breaking the rules

WA public holidays, 2026 and 2027

Bunbury goes by the same dates as Perth. Your assistant works every one of them for the normal price, and won’t book jobs on a holiday unless your hours say so.

From the WA Government’s public holidays page, read October 2026. Karratha and Port Hedland take the King’s Birthday in August instead; Bunbury doesn’t. A bill that still needs the Legislative Council, according to the WA Government’s public holiday review page, would shift several of these from 2028 and add Easter Saturday and a Show Day.

Who licenses Bunbury trades

Building and Energy runs WA’s online licence search for electricians, plumbers and gas fitters, and keeps the registers of builders and painters. Its number is 1300 489 099.

It says only a plumber licensed by the Plumbers Licensing Board can do water supply, sanitary and drainage plumbing in WA, all gasfitting needs a Building and Energy licence, and licensed electrical contractors have to use licensed electricians for the work. Builder and painter registration applies across 137 council areas, in some only the main towns, and Building and Energy publishes maps of where.

Customers who ask for your licence number get it from your assistant once you’ve texted it to us.

Bunbury questions

Do you have an office in Bunbury?

No. We’re on the other side of the country, in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Setup happens over the phone, you keep your number, and you never touch the software.

Does it run on Bunbury time or yours?

Bunbury time. It follows your time zone and working hours, and since WA skips daylight saving, nothing shifts for you in October or April.

Does it work on WA Day?

Yes, for the same price as a Tuesday. It won’t book jobs on a public holiday unless you work it.

Can I keep my 08 number?

Yes. Bunbury district landlines start (08) 57, 67 or 97 under the national numbering plan, and yours stays with your phone company. You forward it to the assistant’s own Australian mobile number. Landlines and phone systems forward differently to mobiles, so ring us and we’ll sort it with your provider.

What does an AI receptionist cost in Bunbury?

Sole traders pay A$299 a month, 100 minutes and 150 texts included, plus A$299 setup. It’s A$449 a month for 2 to 4 people and A$799 for 5 to 10. GST isn’t added.
