OffsiteMate is an AI receptionist for tradies on the Sunshine Coast and in Noosa. It picks up when you can’t and tells callers it’s your assistant. Then it gets the job details, books routine work at times you’re free, and texts you emergencies straight away before ringing you.

The coast has a new reason for the phone to ring in 2026. Unitywater has started fitting digital water meters that text owners when they spot a possible leak, and those owners then go looking for a plumber.

Unitywater is fitting digital meters across Moreton Bay, the Sunshine Coast and Noosa from early 2026, starting where the pipes are older. Each one sends the day’s water use back to Unitywater.
If the lowest flow through the day works out to more than 500 litres a day, two days running, Unitywater texts or emails the property owner, or posts a letter. It goes to the owner, not the tenant.
Unitywater says leaks on the owner’s side of the meter are the owner’s to find and fix. Its threshold is set at about A$2.50 a day of lost water.
It takes their name, the address and what Unitywater told them, plus anything else you want asked, like whether a tenant lives there and who can let you in. Then it books the job or texts you if it’s urgent.
Don’t fix a leak at the meter. Unitywater counts the meter as its property and asks plumbers to ring 1300 086 489 instead.
Same with a sewer blockage on its side of the property boundary. Unitywater asks the plumber to stop, leave it uncleared and ring 1300 086 489, then sends a crew within four hours. The plumber gets a job reference number and can claim a blocked sewer identification fee, with the invoice made out to Unitywater, not the customer.
House drainage plans come from the council: Sunshine Coast Council or Noosa Shire Council, depending on the address. Unitywater says older connection points aren’t always on its plans, and suggests CCTV when one won’t turn up.
Every one of these gets answered, at no extra cost. Text us your days off and those days stay clear of bookings.

For show holidays, the Queensland Government splits the Sunshine Coast along former council areas. In 2026 the former Caloundra City area took the Maleny Show day in May. The former Maroochy Shire area had the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show day in June, and Noosa had its own show day in September.
Handy if you know where the former Caloundra City boundary ran. Your assistant doesn’t need to: it answers on all three days at the same price, and only books jobs on the days you’ve told us you work.
Queensland doesn’t use daylight saving either, so the clock stays put all year (Fair Work Ombudsman, read October 2026).

Builders and plumbers are on the QBCC’s online registers. Electrical contractor licence numbers can be checked with the electrical licence search on WorkSafe Queensland’s site, which is home to the Electrical Safety Office. Gasfitters’ licences are on the RSHQ portal, run by Resources Safety and Health Queensland, and you don’t need an account to search it.
Your assistant can read out your licence number when someone asks, once you’ve texted it to us.
The ABS counted 8,376 construction businesses in the Sunshine Coast council area and 1,490 in Noosa at 30 June 2025 (ABS Data by Region, read October 2026). The Sunshine Coast urban area had 424,741 people at the same date (ABS estimate).
Ring out once and the customer has plenty of other names to try. If you’d still rather grab the call yourself when you’re free, the assistant can ring your phone first and only step in when you don’t answer.
