What happens when someone rings
Your assistant answers as your business and says it’s your assistant. It gets the job details, then books the job or gets you.
On the call
It answers
Straight away, or after your own phone has rung first, if you choose. It says it’s your assistant, and that the call may be recorded.
It gets the details
What needs doing, the address, and their first name and mobile. It reads the mobile back to check it’s right.
It checks if it’s urgent
It asks about the things you’ve told us count as an emergency for your trade.
It books it, or gets you
Routine jobs get booked at a time you’re free. Emergencies get texted to you straight away.
If it’s an emergency
It tells the caller you’re being contacted now, and texts you their first name, number and address straight away, any hour.
If anyone’s in danger, it tells them to hang up and ring triple zero. It isn’t an emergency service.
What it won’t do
- Pretend to be you, or a person
- Give prices you haven’t told us it can give
- Give DIY repair advice
- Promise what time someone will turn up
- Hang up before they’re finished. It asks if there’s anything else first
After the call
You get a text: who rang, what for, and what got booked.
If a job was booked, the customer gets a text confirming it, a reminder the day before, and a check-in an hour before the job. If they don’t reply to the check-in, you get a heads up to ring them.
If they wanted to talk to you, it takes their number and you ring them back.
Fair questions about calls
Will my customers know it’s not me?
Yes. It tells them straight up it’s your assistant.
What does it know about my business?
What you’ve told us: your services, the suburbs you cover, your hours and what counts as an emergency. If it doesn’t know something, it says so and takes their details.
Can it put the caller through to me?
No. It takes their details and you ring them back. Emergencies get texted to you straight away, so you know which ones can’t wait.
Does it answer private numbers?
Yes. Callers with a hidden number get answered like anyone else.
