Leaving OffsiteMate
It’s month to month, so leaving is a text. Here’s what happens to the service, your number and your records.
Step by step
Text or email us
Tell us you’re done. That’s the whole cancelling process.
It runs to the end of the month
The month you’ve paid for. Then it stops.
Turn off your forwarding
So your phone stops sending calls to the assistant. The forwarding page has the codes.
Ask for a copy, if you want one
Within 30 days of leaving.
Your number
Your own number was always yours. It stays with your phone company.
The assistant’s number belongs to the service, so we release it when you cancel. Keep using your own number on your ute, website and cards.
Your records
You have 30 days after leaving to ask for a copy of your customers’ details, bookings and conversations. After that we delete them.
Call recordings are deleted 90 days after each call anyway. We keep our own billing records for 5 years, because the tax office requires it.
Before you go
If something isn’t working, tell us first. Most things can be changed with a text, and we’d rather fix it than lose you.
Fair questions about leaving
Do I need to tell my phone company?
No. Just turn off the forwarding on your phone. Your number was always with them.
Will my customers notice?
Once the forwarding is off, calls ring your phone the way they did before.
Do I get money back for the rest of the month?
No. It keeps running to the end of the month you’ve paid for.
Is there a cancellation fee?
No. There’s no lock-in contract.
Can I come back later?
Yes. Ring us and we’ll set it up again.
Do I lose my Google reviews?
No. Reviews live on your Google profile, which is in your own account.
What about my website?
You can pay to take it with you. Ask us.
This phone is answered.
Ring us on the number below, or email. Either way, a human gets back to you.
